Megan Allen
SECBE Marketing and Communications Lead
Megan’s role is to lead the development and successful delivery of all marketing and communications activities.
Ashley Backhouse
IFLP Programme Director
Ashley is a relationship-driven professional with over 15 years’ experience across apprenticeships, education, and healthcare. He has a strong track record in creating and delivering impactful learning programmes and focuses on building long-term partnerships that add real value for organisations and their people.
Helen Banning
CoTrain Apprenticeship Manager
Helen joined the CoTrain team as an Apprenticeship Manager in August 2024. Along with Sarah Hall, she will now be responsible for managing existing apprentices, training providers and hosts as well as leading on the recruitment and onboarding of new apprentices.
Andy Brooke
CLOCS Programme Director
Andy joined SECBE in early 2021 and is responsible for the ongoing delivery and development of the CLOCS initiative. Andy has worked in various operational roles.
Andy Durling
Finance Manager
Andy brings a wealth of experience to SECBE, having dedicated his entire career to the field of finance. After seven years of rigorous training, he earned his qualification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Over the years, Andy has held various finance roles across a wide range of industries, showcasing his versatility and deep understanding of financial management.
Sarah Hall
CoTrain Apprenticeship Manager
Sarah joined CoTrain in August 2024 as an Apprenticeship Manager, bringing over 30 years of experience in education. In this role, she manages apprentices, training providers, and hosts, while also leading the recruitment and onboarding of new apprentices alongside Helen Banning.
Charmaine Holland
CoTrain Programme Director
Charmaine joined SECBE in May 2024 as Programme Development Director and is responsible for driving improvement and the successful delivery of the CoTrain programme and the new development of the People Development Strategy Services.
Aaron Large
CLOCS Operation Manager
Aaron is a versatile and self-motivated professional, he brings a wealth of expertise in project management and operations to the SECBE team and the CLOCS program. His role centres around overseeing the efficient execution and successful delivery of the CLOCS initiative.
Jenny Lawton
Senior Administrator
Jenny plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, overseeing office administration while supporting the team with apprentices’ timesheets, expenses and general operational coordination.
Mark Pope
CoTrain Business Development & Apprenticeship Manager
Mark joined CoTrain in 2019 as an Apprenticeship Manager. Mark Pope had been working for CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) for ten years, with 8 of them as an apprenticeship officer in the Southampton Area, with his last two years as the CoTrain Shared Apprenticeship Co-ordinator.
Derek Rees
Chief Executive
Derek is the driving force behind the growth and development of the company. He has extensive experience and understanding of the issues affecting the built environment sector in the South East and has a wide network of contacts within industry and Government bodies.
